5 Things I want to Help My Readers With

Let’s face it, adulting is hard. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, or you work full or part time, the amount of caretaking, chauffeuring, errands, chores, planning, and organization that falls on your shoulders is a lot! The struggle is real. And as a fellow mom, I just want to be able to share with you some of the tips and ideas that I have gathered along the way on my own journey through motherhood.

More than anything, I’d love to just chat with you over a vanilla latte and delve into all things mom: quick and easy family recipes, fun ideas and activities to do with kids, cute fashion ideas, how to attempt to keep your house and life somewhat organized, how to cope with the craziness of mom life, and subsequently, what my favorite wine recommendations are. Because kids.

Here are five things that I designed this blog to help you with:

1. Time-and-Money-Saving Tips and Tricks

I love helping other moms. If there is a recommendation or idea that I think other moms can benefit from, I’m here to share it! Whether it’s a quick and yummy recipe, a bargain on a cute pair of shoes, gift ideas, or affordable family activities, it’s all here for you.

2. Quick & Easy Recipe Ideas

Confession: I hate meal planning. Trying to figure out what to feed the family every single day is like a constant black cloud over my head. I mean, I just fed the kids 3 hours ago, and now I have to do it again? Like, every day? Maybe you can relate. I’m always on the hunt for recipes that are quick and easy to make, that the kids will eat, and that are relatively nutritious. On the blog, you will find meal planning and recipe ideas that will hopefully fit the bill when you are wondering what to make for dinner tonight.

3. Organizing Tips and Ideas

Friends, I absolutely love a clean and organized house. It makes me so happy. Sitting down at the end of the day in a house that is tidy with everything in it’s place makes my heart flutter. While I’m no Marie Kondo, I did totally binge-watch her show on Netflix, and have, in fact, implemented some of her techniques in my own house. I’ve also recently discovered The Home Edit, which now has me pining for drawer organizers and clear plastic bins of every shape and size. Needless to say, if I discover a new product or organizing hack that I think my lovely readers might find useful, I will most definitely be sharing it.

4. Fun, Kid-Friendly Activities

Sometimes I get stuck in a rut doing the same 3-4 activities with the kids. Can you relate? But I’ve found that when you take a little time to think and get creative, you can discover tons of free/affordable activities that the whole family can enjoy—especially in our beautiful hometown of San Diego.

Also, with two elementary school-aged kids, I love finding crafts and activities that can be done at home. Activities that can keep screen time in check and help you thwart off the dreaded “b word” (boredom) are always a good thing.

5. Beauty & Fashion Recommendations

I am by no means a fashionista, but I do like to try to look put-together most days. When I’m in need of new fashion or beauty ideas, I love getting inspiration and recommendations from other bloggers and online sources. If there are fashion or beauty products that I’m loving lately, I’d love to share them with you and give you my honest opinion. (Also, I would not be mad if you shared your beauty finds with me too, mkay?)

#goals

My goal is to keep this blog updated with fun, fresh content. I hope you find From Liz With Love to be your resource for inspiration, ideas, advice and all things mom. Can we go get Starbucks now?
